Windows on Waste Recycling Teacher Workshop
Windows on Waste is an interdisciplinary, environmental studies activity guidebook for elementary teachers and other environmental educators. It endeavors to meet the needs of competency-based education and constructivist approaches to teaching and learning. The lessons are grounded in general environmental studies concepts as applied to solid waste management issues, with particular emphasis upon recycling and litter prevention.
4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m: Speaker from Rumpke Recycling Center (info on things that can and cannot be recycled, emphasis on fate of recycled items).
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Windows on Waste Activity Guide walk through
